Happy New Year’s Day!

new-years-eve decoration introduction to blogThis is the first new year’s eve in a long time that I’ve been excited about. I’m ready for a fresh start and I’m looking forward, not back. Maybe it’s the hope that comes with a change election. Maybe it’s the renewed relationship with my daughter. I just have so much to look forward to. I am blessed!

This year marks several new beginnings for me. This blog is at the top of the list. I decided to create as a place to write about the various categories of DIYprojects I’ve undertaken over the years though I hesitate to call homeschooling a ‘project’. That was the single more important task I ever committed myself to that I’ve completed. Now I get the privilege of helping bring it to the next generation by crafting my grand daughter’s curriculum. That priority is at the top of my writing list and I’m so excited I have three month’s worth of weekly posts scheduled! I’m hoping to add a few more categories soon including my class on essential oils and my advice on dog training plus an interview series where I chat with some DIY-ers I know and some I’ve just met. All of this will be here on this blog though I may just learn how to produce a podcast or vlog in the process so you’ll have to subscribe to see how I’m doing. And of course this blog is a DIY so it’s not 100% up and functional so excuse the dust as I’m installing a contact sheet and other goodies!

Homeschool blog posts will be going live on Wednesdays starting January 4th. The ‘why not’ articles will join the line-up soon. And trying to get everything perfect first is my Achilles’ heel so I’m not expecting to learn every WordPress trick and catch every typo as I build this blog. It’s a kind of therapy in a way. I’m doing my best and that’s good enough for me.
