Selective – especially important when choosing a working dog. Another area where you can benefit is in picking the moment to click or to reinforce behavior.
Series – each behavior you train through reinforcement becomes reinforcment itself which means you can string several behaviors in a sequence where giving the next cue is the reward for the last behavior. If you want to play with this concept start with the final cue and add one more actions at the beginning unil you get to the trigger for a whole chain of actions to acheieve your goal.
Shame – those behaviors anody language humans associte with shame are more properly interpreted as anticipation of a punishment of some kind.
Shy – dogs who show shyness or timidity can benefit from confidence building activities such learning tricks or doing sports or activities like freestyle dancing.
Signals – your dog is alredy a master at reading your signals.
Squeaky – a feature of many toys that you can use to engage your dog in play or training.
Squeal – use a high pitched squeal to signal to your dog that they are being too rough with their teeth as this is the instinctive reaction of thier littermates thile learning bite inhibition as puppies.
